I've seen items similar to this and recently stumbled onto this particular one. What's so appealing about this one over others? It's made of nylon and has a foam core, which means it's flexible for storage purposes but still sturdy. It has also been tested for safety and poses no concern in the event of an accident. It can be secured onto a car seat or stroller. I love the idea of limiting the tons of crushed goldfish that end up in my son's seat by the end of a long trip or the number of cups, books, and toys that fall off his lap and roll around into various unreachable areas of our van.
